Brad Pitt Showed "The Green"
Fatherhood has turned Brad Pitt into a leading philanthropist because he wants other children to realise the same advantages as his own. The movie star has embraced charity projects in Africa and hurricane-ravaged Louisiana since he started dating actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie, who gave birth to his first child Shiloh Nouvel earlier this year.
And he admits that family life with Angelina Jolie has inspired him to give more of his time and money. After sponsoring a design competition to build low-income, green housing in New Orleans - which ended yesterday, Brad Pitt admits he's desperate to help struggling families. He explains, "To be able to have some small hand in improving anyone's life... I mean, I'm a father now and what that does to you is makes you more aware of other children and the plight of other families. It bothers me to see these people (in New Orleans) getting left behind and not getting a big hand up. These are the people that need the most help." Giving back helps Brad Pitt accept his blessed life as a dad: "There are a lot of great things in my life and that comes from this family that we've created. It's incredibly grounding and, walking in the door at the end of the day and seeing these faces light up, I don't know anything more rewarding." Tags : Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, New Orleans |

Jon Voight loves Shakira !
Jon Voight has been desperately trying to repair his relationship with estranged daughter Angelina Jolie by publicly requesting to see his grandchildren, but he may have further hampered their relationship by mistakenly calling his granddaughter Shakira instead of Zahara.
The veteran actor was caught on tape at the British Academy Of Film And Television Arts Tea Party on Saturday, where he was doing interviews on the red carpet. Entertainment news website TMZ.com has posted footage of Voight sending birthday wishes to his grandson Maddox saying, "Maddox just had a birthday. Happy birthday, Maddox! Five years old - it's a big one! You're going to be a young man, and I send my love out to you. And send my love to...uh...Shakira...and Shahira..." The befuddled grandfather then asked the reporter, 'Is it Shakira or Shahira?' apparently confusing the one-and-a-half-year-old tot for the 29-year-old Colombian singer. When the reporter replied that the correct name of Angelina and Brad Pitt's adopted daughter was Zahara, the confused Voight added, "Shahara! Shahara!" The couple's other daughter Shiloh Nouvel, who is three months old, failed to get a mention. Jolie and her father haven't spoken since he went on US entertainment show "Access Hollywood" four years ago, urging his daughter to get help for her "mental problems." Brangelina's New Home in Los Feliz
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are packing up and leaving their beachfront compound in Malibu, California, for Los Angeles' trendy Los Feliz neighborhood. The couple and their three children - Maddox, five, Zahara, 19 months and Shiloh, three months - have only been back in the US for a short time following their extended stay in Namibia, but are already moving on.
Pitt has spent more than a decade buying and renovating in Los Feliz and has amassed a three-property compound. The brood is currently splitting their time between the two homes, but sources report Pitt intends to make Los Feliz the family's primary residence. The architecture buff has reportedly invested an estimated $4 million in the properties, which include a stone house once occupied by "Elvira" actress Cassandra Peterson, a California Craftsman, and a post-and-beam property built in the 1950s. Pitt purchased the first of the three properties in 1994 and has been renovating ever since. A source tells Us Weekly, "Brad's turned the compound into a Neverland-like place." The couple has turned a ballroom into a massive playroom and there is a pool and a large fountain in the center of the main house. According to a source, "It's meant to be a kids' paradise, where they can just run wild." Tags : Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Los Feliz, Cassandra Peterson, Elvira |

'Capote' Screenwriter & Angelina Jolie
Capote screenwriter Dan Futterman has secretly been cast opposite Angelina Jolie in a film about slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Jolie made headlines last month when it was announced she was playing Pearl's widow Marianne in the film adaptation of her 2003 memoir "A Mighty Heart."
But Paramount Pictures made no mention at the time of who would be playing her husband, leading many to speculate the role was yet to be cast. In fact, Futterman, who is best known for his recurring role on TV drama Judging Amy, had already been selected and was secretly filming in Pakistan. The casting was kept a closely guarded secret because of security concerns and crewmembers were sworn to secrecy during the 10-day shoot on location in Karachi and Islamabad. Director Michael Winterbottom and a skeleton crew went to Pakistan undercover, hoping to be mistaken for a documentary or news crew. Futterman, who agreed to be interviewed only after he returned to the US, tells the Washington Post, "It was important to shoot in the actual places where things happened. There are lots of little things that were important to (Winterbottom), not least of all the people and the sound of the language spoken." Pearl was a respected journalist at the time he was abducted and killed in Pakistan - four months before his wife gave birth to their son - while researching a story about Muslim fundamentalists. Mommy Time Away From Brad
Angelina Jolie has told Brad Pitt she has no intention of being a stay-at-home housewife and already has plans to take her children on a trip to Africa, leaving the actor home alone. The actress, who gave birth to the couple's biological child Shiloh Nouvel in May, is adamant her three children will grow up outside of the Hollywood bubble and see the world as it really is.
Jolie says, "I want to take all three children back to Africa. I can squeeze in a break before starting work and I want to give them a little 'Mommy time' away from Brad." A close friend tells British newspaper the Sunday Express, "If Brad wants to keep hold of his family, he is going to have to learn to be careful about how he treats Angie. She is not the home-body he is and wants the kids to grow up as 'citizens of the world', speaking several languages and with a broad perspective on life. "She hates the idea of them growing up in the insular world of Hollywood as the spoilt brats of movie stars who expect everything to be handed to them on a plate." Olivier Martinez comments on Angelina Jolie
French actor Olivier Martinez has defended his "Taking Lives" co-star Angelina Jolie, insisting there's much more to her than just her stunning good looks. The heartthrob was falsely romantically linked to Jolie during filming of the movie in Canada two years ago, while he was dating his current girlfriend Kylie Minogue.
Martinez complains too many people misunderstand Angelina Jolie, who was portrayed as a 'marriage-wrecker' in the fall-out of her current boyfriend Brad Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston last year. Martinez says, "Angelina's much more than a ravishing beauty. She's an extraordinary woman who deserves to be loved for her humanitarian work and all she does for great causes."
